Three new members have joined Four County Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2026. Julia Kaiser, Angie McCoy and Adam Schlusler were formally welcomed at the board’s quarterly meeting in April.
All three previously served in other roles with Four County Community Foundation (4CCF) before joining the board. Julia reviews grants and scholarships; serves on the Proactive Committee and has presented grant writing workshops with 4CCF Executive Director Kathy Dickens. Angie takes part in 4CCF’s Hispanic Coalition and helped plan prior Hispanic Heritage Fiesta events. Adam has lent his expertise as a member of the Foundation’s Finance Committee for several years.
“Four County Community Foundation is so fortunate to have dedicated trustees to steward charitable dollars that enrich our communities. Trustees honor our history, while keeping an eye on the future. We appreciate their time and effort,” said 4CCF Executive Director Kathy Dickens.
Julia Kaiser is a Community Relationship Manager for People Driven Credit Union, having held other titles with the credit union over the last seven years, including lending specialist and branch manager. In her current role, Julia champions local nonprofits through sponsorships and volunteer events, develops financial literacy programming and secures scholarship and small business grant funding.
She currently serves on the board of MI Work Matters, volunteers with the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan and is active in several business associations, including the Northern Macomb Regional Chamber of Commerce.
“I’m passionate about empowering people, strengthening communities and creating lasting partnerships and look forward to continuing that work as a Four County Community Foundation trustee,” she said.
Angie McCoy is a retired educator who spent her career working with special needs students, migrant students and children and adults learning English as a second language in the Imlay City area.
She spent 30 years as a volunteer with the Hispanic Service Center and now gives of her time to Sacred Heart Catholic Church’s Christian Outreach Ministry which helps those in need in Imlay City and Dryden. Angie also serves on the Imlay City Hispanic Community Engagement Committee and the Ruth Hughes District Library Board of Imlay City and Attica.
“I have always been impressed by 4CCF. This organization has made it possible for our rural communities to provide a variety of opportunities to the people in this area. I feel that it would be a great privilege to be a part of this wonderful organization that meets so many different needs,” Angie said.
Adam Schlusler is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor with ChoiceOne Bank. Prior to holding those titles, he was a private practice attorney who helped clients with estate planning, probate, business and other litigation.
Adam currently serves on committees for the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Bankers Association, Lapeer County Scholarship and Student Loan Fund and Central Church of the Nazarene.
“As a new trustee, I hope to bring a fresh perspective, strong stewardship, and a deep commitment to the Foundation’s mission. I also hope to listen and learn from longtime trustees, community partners, and donors, while offering my own experiences and perspectives, to support sound governance, effective grantmaking, and long-term sustainability,” he said.
“Ultimately, my goal is to help the Foundation continue to grow as a trusted, responsive, and collaborative force for good in our region.”
