Four County Community Foundation

Almont Education & Community Fund

Four County Community Foundation has eight community-specific funds to provide a permanent revenue source for projects as determined by each community.  Community funds may be utilized for a wide range of community programs including summer concerts, park improvements, libraries and schools, local police and fire department, community holiday events, and emergency needs.

The Almont Education & Community Fund was established in 1997.  Since that time, the fund has made 136 grants worth $120,000 to the Almont community.  The majority of the grants have been scholarships to AHS seniors, but grants have been made to Almont Community Schools, Almont Fire & Rescue, and local Scout Troops.  The endowed fund generates an annual revenue to support any charitable purpose in the Almont area.

Four County Community Foundation provides an easy and secure way for anyone in the community to support programs which benefit Almont residents.  Endowed community funds ensure that annual proceeds are available to serve the ever-changing needs of your local community, today and far into the future.

Give where you live.  Donations of any size are always welcome, online or by mail.

Nonprofit organizations needing financial support for programs benefitting the Almont community may reach out to the Foundation for more information.  Grant requests for community funds will be reviewed by the Foundation’s Proactive Committee throughout the year.  The Foundation’s Board of Trustees will act on committee recommendations on a regular basis.
