Register to golf or sponsor our August 11 golf outing at Heather Hills Golf Club. Proceeds will benefit Four County Community Foundation’s Friends of Imagination Library Fund.

Play a round of golf this summer and support Four County Community Foundation (4CCF) Friends of Imagination Library Fund with every swing, chip and putt.

Registration is underway now for the August 11 Golf Outing at Heather Hills Golf Club, 3100 McKail Road in Bruce Township. Teams will tee off that morning at 9 a.m. Golfers will receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, continental breakfast and food at holes 5 and 15. Awards will be given for longest drive, closest to the pin and winning team.

Cost is $110 per golfer or $400 for a team of 4. Participants can also support Imagination Library with a 50/50 raffle and various drawings.

Currently Friend of Imagination Library volunteers are soliciting sponsorships for the outing. Becoming an event sponsor is a great way for a business, association or family to publicly share their support of early literacy.

Hole sponsorships are available for $100 each and include one sponsor sign. Trophy sponsorships can be obtained for $150 and include a sponsor sign with special designation. Donors giving $300 are recognized as Food Sponsors and receive recognition on the holes where food will be served. Title Sponsors, at a giving level of $1,500 or more, will have their brand featured in advertising and signage and receive golfing for four.

Registration forms can be obtained here. Reach out to mbrown@4ccf.org or call the foundation at (810) 798-0909 to request a form.

As an affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, 4CCF’s Friends group has made it possible for more than 3,000 children in Lapeer, Oakland and Macomb counties to receive free books in the month every month. These volunteers assist families in registering for the program and cover a portion of the cost for children from birth to age 5 to receive the books, paying approximately $31 per year per child or $155 per child over five years.

The fund currently serves children in Addison, Almont, Armada, Attica, Dryden, Imlay City, Metamora, Memphis, New Haven, Ortonville, Oxford, Ray, Richmond, Romeo, Shelby, Utica and Washington.
